USCG USN Regulation 35" x 35" Signal Pennant Flag - Coming Alongside (NR)

Description

Offered is a vintage original USCG (United States Coast Guard) 35" x 35" cloth signal flag in "AS NEW" condition. This type of flag is also used by the US Navy with the meaning for "COMING ALONGSIDE". This particular one was manufactured by the Valley Forge Flag Co. (3rd photo). The black cloth circle is stitched on both sides (4th photo). The trailing corners are reinforced with a triangular piece stitched on both corners (5th photo). There is a brass ring on the top leading corner (6th photo) and a brass swivel/snap clip on a short lanyard at the bottom leading corner (7th photo). Both still have their protective wrapping. The last photo is a "used example" of the top ring and bottom clip on another flag.
I acquired this flag (along with many others) from a US Coast Guard Cutter that was decommissioned in Seattle, WA a few years back. Many I purchased, such as this one, were never used/flown.
